Title: Color Picker Tool
Summary: Stop wasting time trying to find out exactly what color that guy used in his build.
Submitted By: BobAndRob
Date Submitted: Mon Jan 11, 2010 10:04 pm
Description: Just type /pickColor while looking at a brick to change your spray can to the color of that brick.

This is useful in maps with colored lighting, as well as in colorsets with many similar colors.

Id like it more if it was an actual item, but its still useful. 4/5. (5/5 if you make it into an item :3)

@ Flying ace that would be hacking and impossible UNLESS a new blockland version comes out like that.

would have been cooler if you added it as a paint can under E under effects colim and spray a brick and it will automatically change to that color kinda like the droper in paint

A very nice add-on, useful when lights are on and colors get distorted, but would you mind going through the trouble of a short command, such as /pc?

@russian
Code:
function colorKeybind() {
   commandToServer('pickColor');
}
$remapCmd[$remapCount] = colorKeybind;
$remapName[$remapCount] = "Pick Color";
$remapDivision[$remapCount] = "Color Picker Tool";
$remapCount++;

I thought of having a spray-can that gets sprayed by the brick instead of the other way around. Once the spray can is sprayed, it can spray other bricks that color too.

Although perhaps an eye-dropper would look good too as that's the icon for a color picker in nearly every image editing program I've ever seen.

However I really like the fact that it's just a serverCmd, because as it is now, it doesn't increase your loading time by giving you YET ANOTHER model to download.

You should have an item with this function. If you can, you could use something that looks like a dropper. Or a printer. Or a spraycan. A spraycan would work.

@Jasa
LOL, that was not intentional. I released an earlier version of this on the normal forums that was all one line, just for the heck of it. Also 'cause I couldn't let Truce be the only one who can claim to have done that.

@Hyperbob
It's server sided. If it were client sided, I would have put it in the "Client-side Mods" section.

Fantastic! But one question: is this server side or client side?
